Torben Keller

The life of a professional boxer in Berlin

Its is now about 1 month since Torben had his succesfull pro-debut. After a short vacation he is now back in Berlin training towards his future fight. For the moment Torben lives in a small hostel, but he will soon move into his apartment located very close to the traning facilities and his boxing collegues. Life in Berlin has been great so far and with Torben both understanding and speaking German, the language change has caused no problems.

But how is the life as a professional boxer in Berlin? Torben has made a short summary of one of his typical days in Berlin.

7:00: Wakes up and eats breakfast. Its very important to eat breakfast early, so the food has settled before first practice.
9:30: First training. Usually stating with a short run, followed by padwork. The session is generally focused on the technical side of boxing.
12:00: Giving the body a rest and eating lunch. Here i also do everyday stuff like shopping food.
16:30: Second training with more attention to physical work. Weights etc. This is also the session that involves sparring.
19:00: Dinner. After that im relaxing. I often spend time with my colleagues Erik Skoglund and David Graf.
23:00: Bedtime.

Torben has about 10 training sessions per week. Only day off is Sunday.

The next fight for Torben will be announced soon.
